Professional Boxing Manager Requirements

1. Application and Fees

  1. Submit an application: Provide detailed information about yourself and your experience in boxing.
  2. Pay the application fee: XYZ (Amount to be confirmed - lesser than promoter)
  3. Pay the annual subscription fee: XYZ (Amount to be confirmed - lesser than promoter)

2. Experience and Qualifications

  1. Minimum 1 year's experience: In a related field, such as boxing training, promotion, or management.
  2. Boxing knowledge and expertise: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of boxing rules, regulations, and safety protocols.

3. Business and Financial Requirements

  1. Registered business: Must be a registered business in Nigeria, with a valid business name and address.
  2. Insurance: Must have adequate insurance to cover management activities.

4. Personal Requirements

  1. Good character: Must be of good character, with no convictions or pending charges that would bring the sport into disrepute.
  2. Medical certification: Not required for managers, but must ensure that boxers under their management have the necessary medical certifications.

5. Contract and Agreement

  1. Manager's contract: Must have a written contract with the boxer, outlining terms and conditions of management.
  2. Board agreement: Must sign an agreement with the Board, acknowledging the rules and regulations of the organization.

6. Interview and Approval

  1. Interview with the Board: May be required to attend an interview with the Board to discuss the application and demonstrate knowledge and expertise.
  2. Approval by the Board: The Board will review the application and make a decision regarding approval.
